So, it snowed here! Which seems like all fun and games....until you realize it is NOT a MAJOR snow and school won't be called off....which isn't a completely bad thing because I really do have a significant love of spring weather days, but that meant delayed entry. This also sounds very appealing but when you realize that there is snow on the ground and you have two young kids, then the "leisurely" delayed entry, backing up everything 2 hours, comes to a SCREECHING halt because you realize....MY. WORD. We actually have to get up an hour earlier so we can don our snow gear, play in the snow, have a melt down when it is time to come inside, get dressed, calm down from the excitement and actually make it to work and school! BUT, we did have fun and I am so glad that we did not burn a day. Even if that meant that I almost burned a fuse (or blew a fuse if you are picky - smile)
Below is a picture of our dog, Grady. It's only significance is that I was beyond tickled because this was one of MANY pictures that I took and in EVERY SINGLE ONE he is is some bizarre pose.

Then there was the FUNNIEST line of the day...when we came inside, after much weaping and gnashing of teeth (and I may or may not have muttered some un-mommy like sentiments), as Leighton was taking off his clothes, he said, "Mama, I feel like a Canadian." You know, because 2 inches of snow only in the deep places is so much like a Canadian winter and all. Then, I looked at the piles of clothes and felt a sentiment that was much like his.....

These pictures are just for your enjoyment. Aren't they punkins?
