Getting caught up.....

on EVERYTHING...from laundry to dishes to rest......

I had visions of doing ever so much blogging this summer...because, I was going to have plenty of time and all, you know! HA! So, these posts will be short, picture filled posts. I will try to be brief.....

This post covers the remainder of our All-Star season. It was large fun...really, it was! By the end, we MIGHT have gotten a teensy bit tired, and maybe a smidge irritable, and maybe, just maybe, we were less than lovely on more than one occasion, but it is an experience that I am so very thankful for. I have given you a brief pictorial journey of our first tournament or two, so I will pick up with our regional tournament...where we took the NUMBER 1 SPOT! (Oh yes we did!)

Then we were off to the state tournament...where we played LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of baseball with more than one rain delay, one night that went to such a ridiculous hour that I am ashamed to post it as you MIGHT label me a pitiful parent for allowing it, more cheese fries/sticks than I care to discuss, lots of cheering, MANY, MANY Jolly Ranchers, and loads of free entertainment, compliments of Logan!

(This is his new heartthrob....Anna!)

And, never doubt our degree of dedication...between games we even had a TV....we are BIG TIME!!!!

We finally ended our season on Wednesday night with a loss to Moody...score....5-4! But, I am so proud to say that our guys were 4th in the state...which is a HUGE accomplishment in my book!

Seeing the season end was bittersweet to say the least. We were tired..everyone was...and Leighton was ready for a break....but I kind of just wanted to sit in the middle of the field and cry. We have come a long way...and spent EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. with these teammates and their families...it was hard to let it go! I definitely found myself in a place I had never been before regarding my emotions and baseball. It was kind of strange. Anyway, we will carry on, and get busy having lots of summer the next few weeks. It goes too fast after the 4th of July!
